"We required new litter bins as part of a street improvement project for Camden Town Centre. Furnitubes adapted the Zenith litter bin so it integrated Camden Council's logo, matched our corporate colour and remained within our budget. The black bins are now installed on Camden High Street and look great."
Matthew George, Transport Planner, Camden Council

"I have been very impressed with the service received from Furnitubes on each occasion I have done business with the company.. It was extremely important the Sunburst tree guards ordered were received at the same time the contractors and trees were going to be on site. From the quotation to installation instructions, my queries were dealt with swiftly by their professional staff. The bollard order was more complex, and, again, my queries were handled immediately and helpfully. The products were delivered to the site on time and I am very happy with them.”
Dr Carolyn Jenkins, Parks Development Manager, Reading Borough Council

"Bramham Community Action Group wanted to improve an unsightly junction which forms one of the main routes into the village. Client Groundwork Leeds aimed to improve the appearance of the area with the addition of attractive seating, new surfacing and extensive planting. Furnitubes Berwick recycled plastic benches were selected as an environmentally friendly option that were not only attractive but maintenance-free. The benches were easy to install and has helped to transform the space into an low-maintenance garden area that is enjoyed by the community and provides an attractive feature for visitors."
Sean Easton, Contracts Manager, Brambledown Landscapes

"Furnitubes Portman Tree Grilles adorn the premises of Skinners Academy School. The modern style matches the new state-of-the-art Academy and not only do they look great but they have been able to withstand the footfall from students."
Mark Johnstone - Vice Principal & Bursar, Skinners Academy

"Furniutubes supplied four Eltham Tree Grilles for our project at Daresbury Science & Innovation Campus. Furnitubes provided a quotation quickly and dealt with a change of quantities smoothly at short notice. The products were delivered on time and were easy to install in the campus car park."
Haydn Hughes, Construction Director, Hollingsworth Bros Uk Ltd

"We required lighting to illuminate the statue of King Alfred at Wantage Market Place. It had originally been proposed to set eight uplighters into the york stone surround. Our lighting engineer advised that it would be more effective and economical to have surface mounted units, and we opted for three units covered by Bell 340 three-quarter bollards after Furnitubes were able to confirm their suitability for this purpose. The use of the Bell 340 cast iron bollard as housing units for lighting allowed us to achieve a very satisfactory lighting scheme for less than 40% of the cost originally indicated. We are very pleased with the outcome and would certainly recommend Furnitubes Bell 340 bollards for the purpose of accommodating lights."
Bill Falkenau, Clerk to Wantage Town Council

“The service I received from Furnitubes was first class. The products were delivered on time, and as advised, with excellent communication prior to delivery. The tree grilles were of a high quality and look great installed.”
Leisha Norman, Buyer, MDB Project Solution

“As part of the ‘Cycle Aylesbury’ scheme to get more residents cycling, Transport for Buckinghamshire required contemporary signage to make the routes more accessible to the public. Furnitubes were able to supply different coloured fingers to the Zenith Signage to represent each ‘Gemstone Cycleways’ cycle route, and they were also able to produce a special finial to feature the ‘Cycle Aylesbury logo. The Zenith Signage looks great and the different coloured fingers encourage more cycling in the area. We are very pleased.”
Simon Glover, Cycle Aylesbury Programme Manager, Transport for Buckinghamshire

“I choose Furnitubes due to their varied style of products and the option to order bespoke items i.e.: different sizes than shown on the website/brochure. They provide a friendly service and good communications about products and delivery.”
Lisa Dunton, Streetscene, Spelthorne Borough Council

"We have bought Furnitubes FIN bike stands in the past and they have remained in good condition and not rusted over time."
Gina Harkell, Principal Transport Officer, Waltham Forest Council

"Southwark Council required railings as a safety barrier at Spa Road Bridge. Furnitubes were able to visit the site and take into consideration the structural limitations of the area. The result was bespoke stainless steel railings based on the Linx 400 system which fit perfectly between the existing railway columns. Their technical knowledge and assistance has been first class."
Peter Leung, Contracts Manager, Structures & Maintenance, FM Conway

"We approached Furnitubes for assistance in delivering a DLR-wide initiative to provide consistent, high quality cycling parking across our network. The Furnitubes team provided bespoke cycle stands, which are branded with the DLR logo. They were able to manufacture the stainless steel stands at a competitive price, and the stands are now proudly installed at a number of DLR stations between Royal Victoria and Beckton. We have been really pleased with the cycle stands, and we plan to purchase more for the rest of the network."
Karen Bain, Project Development Manager, Docklands Light Railway

"Part of a streetscape refurbishment scheme on Ilford High Road required sustainable seating that was attractive, would not weather easily and required minimal maintenance in the future. As we were interested in the Zenith stainless steel seat with recycled composite slats, Furnitubes were able to provide slat samples and organise the viewing of a full size seat prior to purchase. Furnitubes also produced darker coloured slats to suit our requirements. The 38 seats delivered are of great quality and the Furnitubes Designers were extremely helpful. I would definitely consider Furnitubes for future projects."
London Borough of Redbridge

"The aim of the regeneration of Orpington High Street was to make the shopping area more appealing to pedestrians and to keep streets cleaner. We were impressed with the versatility of Furnitubes’ Zenith Range, and thought the co-ordinating bins, seating and signage would be ideal to improve the street scene.

Elements to improve facilities for pedestrians include the provision of Zenith seats to provide comfortable seating and the Zenith litter bins with ash waste pockets. Furnitubes in-house designers were able to adapt the Zenith Litter Bin and Seats to suit the council’s requirements. The Zenith stainless steel signage has provided clear directional advice to locals and visitors, and it is reassuring to know its telescopic column can allow the removal or addition of finger arms in the future.

The Zenith Range has been a wonderful addition to the area. The Grand opening by the Mayor of London Boris Johnson and MP Jo Johnson was a great success and Furnitubes Zenith Range has helped create a clean and contemporary High Street.”
Garry Warner, Head of Highway Network Management, London Borough of Bromley

"Cheshire West and Chester Council required bespoke steel and timber seating of a contemporary design, which did not detract from Chester’s historical city centre - a conservation area. The four seats were commissioned by Cheshire West and Chester Council, and the charity Chester Lions sponsored one of the benches, to commemorate their Golden Jubilee. Their bench required the Lions logo, the other three benches were to display the logo of Cheshire West and Chester Council.

Furnitubes designers were able to transform our ideas to design and manufacture contemporary benches that complemented the historical context of the area. The simple design with oak slats features stainless steel plaques with logos for the Chester Lions and the Council. The engraved panels on the sides of three of the benches make reference to the Medieval heritage of Chester.

Furnitubes were able to deliver the seats for the opening ceremony at The Cross in Chester city centre, where they were unveiled by the Lord Mayor, Councillor Neil Ritchie. The unique benches were well received by all involved, and are a great asset for visitors and residents alike!"
Janet Wooldridge, Landscape Architect - Specialist Environmental Services, Cheshire West and Chester Council

"We have used Furnitubes’ Covent Garden litter bins in the council’s parks for many years and have always been more than happy with their quality. They are easy to maintain, durable and suit the park environment. On one occasion we experienced a problem with Furnitubes which was dealt with immediately."
Paul Foinette, Parks Area Manager, London Borough of Hackney

"I am extremely pleased with all the work Furnitubes have done for SDC over the last 18 months. We struggled to find traditional cast iron interpretive panels for Southam's places of interest. Furnitubes design team were able to create a bespoke design which matched their fingerpost signage. The final result looks great - the signage is in keeping with the style of the area and beneficial for visitors and locals alike."
Katherine Geddes, East Area Officer, Stratford on Avon District Council

"The District Traffic bollards were installed as part of an environmental improvement scheme undertaken near Sutton Town Centre. We are pleased with their appearance and performance as they blend in with the character of the area whilst still being conspicuous to drivers."

"We are very satisfied with the quality of the Zenith litter bins we ordered. The aesthetics of the bin complement the location, whilst being durable, functional and easy to maintain and empty. The bins are a welcome addition to the shopping centre and we are so pleased with them we have placed an order for the matching wall and floor mounted cigarette bins."
Andrew McNeilly DipSCM, Centre Manager, Guildhall Shopping Centre

"I was particularly pleased with the modern design of the Eltham seats, which has a striking effect on improving the aesthetic appeal of the area in which it is installed."
Joseph Okai, Environmental & Housing Department, London Borough of Southwark

"We took delivery of the PET535 Peterborough litter bins, complete with ashtray and stubber, earlier this year and they were installed along Welsh Row in Nantwich where a major streetscene redevelopment has taken place.

These litter bins were selected based on a specification provided by the Local Authority and have been satisfactorily received by the work force, local residents and the business community.

The appearance of the litter bin is both pleasing and robust whilst being practical to use and easy to maintain; we feel that it will contribute to the streetscene for many year to come."
Caroline Yoxall, Grounds and Cleansing, Cheshire East Council

"It's always been a pleasure to work with the Furnitubes 'family' - which I have been doing for over 20 years now. Their flexible approach and attention to detail - with a ...'what if'... and a ... 'can do attitude' have inspired some of the designs and creations that have brought us critical acclaim. Their technical know how and ability to listen to clients often exacting requirements are second to none."
Patrick Phillips - Head of Parks and Recreation. LB Bromley

"Furnitubes is a rare commodity. A company that does what it is asked when it is asked - a company I would recommend. Well done."
Michael Garrod, Central Science Laboratory

"To my knowledge we have been dealing with Furnitubes for over 10 years. On the 1st June 2006 Furnitubes supplied ten customised lighting columns to us. These columns had been finished to a high quality and matched our specifications, and were delivered on time. During this time all efforts were made by the company to keep me informed of the order progress. We are happy to use them again in the future and also are able to recommend them to other councils."
Mark Wegdwood, IBC Lighting Engineer, Ipswich Borough Council

"Dixons, Currys and PC World (part of renamed: DSG International), was in 1989, being relentlessly attacked by so called 'ram raiders'. This crime, of deliberately crashing stolen vehicles (usually a sporty saloon car) through town centre shop front windows or the stock room shutters of out-of-town retail units, had reached costly and endemic proportions across the country. I approached Furnitubes for help in the development of a 'target hardening' solution to this crime. A range of demountable anti-ram and fixed security bollards were designed and successfully trialled by Furnitubes, who were then contracted to install the protective bollards nationwide. This urgent 'roll-out' programme was achieved with commendable speed, reliability and efficiency, and had the ultimate effect of bringing an end to 'ram-raids'. The bollards remain an enduring landscape feature in retail parks nationwide, protecting vulnerable shop elevations from this offence."
John Burr, Security Design & Equipment Specifications Manager, Dixons Stores Group (1989-1994)
