Bollards Defender Anti-Attack Bollard

New Anti-Attack Bollard

The Defender bollard was developed in response to the rise in number of international terrorist attacks on important structures and buildings.

To guard against the threat a new larger version of the Bell has been developed the Defender anti-attack bollard.

Its size prevents vehicles with a large axle height from passing straight over.

Defender Bollard

The shape of the Defender is an evolution of the original Bell bollard, whilst retaining the ability to deflect traffic, it now has the potential to stop an attacking vehicle from reaching its intended target.

How the Defender fulfils its role

The Defender fulfils its role by moving in three distinct stages when impacted.

  1. Initial impact will result in the Defender bollard sliding along its footings, which causes a build up of rubble and debris.
  2. As the build up of debris increases, the unique shape of the Defender forces it to rotate and dig in.
  3. This series of actions brings the offending vehicle to a standstill. The bollard will also have caused irreparable damage to vehicle’s steering and drive train.
