Most cast iron bollards can now be produced with flat cast sections, suitable for affixing signage, offering the dual benefits of rationalising different items of street furniture while informing the public and protecting the highway.

Consultants Burns & Nice approached Furnitubes with a view to providing replica bollards to replace many of the worn and damaged originals in Kennington Cross, South London. Using a stripped-down existing bollard, Furnitubes patternmakers were able to take a ‘resin cast’, which was then used as the basis for a brand new pattern, faithfully replicating the original.

Warminster Heritage.

The unique Maidstone bollard, with bronze inset ring and distinctive typography was developed to satisfy a range of visual and performance criteria, winning unanimous critical acclaim. Post and rail systems can be constructed utilising bollards as support posts and gate posts, as seen here with the Manchester bollard. This works well in areas where the standard bollards is already in use.
