Case Study

St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, London

Project: St Pancras Renaissance Hotel
Client: St Pancras Renaissance Hotel
Start Date: March 2010
Completion Date: March 2011

Background: The 5* St Pancras Renaissance Hotel has recently been restored to its former Gothic glory, following the 800 million pound restoration of the St Pancras Eurostar station.

Products: With a need to protect the high-profile site, Furnitubes was approached with a brief to match the ornate styling of the existing bollards, and conceal PAS 68 rated shallow mount security cores.

The existing Gothic style bollards have intricate floral detailing and a decorative domed cap, which was replicated by Furnitubes for fixing onto the PAS 68 bollards.

The decorative aluminium castings complement the Gothic architecture of the Hotel, whilst disguising the security measures put in place to combat terrorism.

This is just one example of Furnitubes SecurePlus+ range of products which have been developed as aesthetic solutions for sensitive locations, offering PAS68 rated protection whilst also integrating with the existing features within the public realm.
