Steel bin liners
Information regarding lifting and empting our litter bin liners
All litter bins are supplied with rigid sheet steel liners as standard, which are intended to be directly filled. Liners are sufficiently robust to withstand frequent handling during emptying operations. The liner itself can weigh up to 10kg and when filled with refuse can become very heavy. The material, dimensions and weight of the rigid liners for each litter bin can be supplied on request.
If it is anticipated that the overall weight of the liner and refuse will regularly exceed the maximum safe lifting weight for refuse operatives, it is recommended that plastic refuse sacks are placed within the rigid liner to reduce the weight to be lifted and emptied. Refuse sacks can be held in place by folding over the open top of the rigid liner.
