Trees and other plants are an attractive addition to what may otherwise be a bleak and sterile town centre, car park or shopping area. However, they are vulnerable and as a protection some form of guards and grilles will need to be specified.
Where trees are planted in paved areas, it is essential to use cast iron tree grilles, which allow rainwater to penetrate the soil and irrigate the tree roots.
Used with or without grilles, tree guards form a general protection for saplings. They often prove to be a cost effective solution in preventing vandals, vehicles, bicycles and animals from damaging the tree trunk.
Furnitubes' grilles come in a variety of standard designs and sizes to meet the needs of all our customers.
