Understanding the Elements range - Part 6

Welcome to the final instalment of our “Understanding the Elements® range” series. With 5 of the 6 unique seating supports already covered, hopefully you now have a good understanding of the Elements concept. Our final instalment will focus on the gabion basket seat supports.

Large scale gabions are an increasingly popular means of creating retaining structures and dividing walls in both urban and rural environments, and the Elements is the first product on the mainstream UK market to introduce gabions into a standard seating product. Since the launch of the product earlier this year, the gabion basket seat support option has proved to be a popular choice amongst specifiers of our new Elements range of seats.

The gabions can be filled with locally sourced materials – offering the opportunity to recycle suitable waste materials from the site – or can be supplied with bagged aggregates. When filled with aggregates and fully assembled, gabions form solid structures to support the equally robust steel Elements seating chassis, to which timbers are fixed to provide the seating surface. With add-on options of backrests, arms and other accessories, the overall assembly can be custom-designed to suit almost all applications and environments, including public realm, schools and colleges, and business developments.
