Project details:
The Payers Park site in the heart of Folkestone - dilapidated, unused and without any designated purpose for many decades – has been transformed into an exciting amenity space designed to provide a focal point and destination for residents, visitors and shoppers. Features include a graded boardwalk, with complementary seating manufactured by Furnitubes. The seats are located on extended sections of the boardwalk and utilise the same wood plastic composite boards in 3 subtly different shades of grey / black, fixed from the rear to provide a comfortable seating surface. The design is a variation on our Newstead seat, with the addition of a horizontal surface at the top of the backrest which can be used as a rear armrest, a small table are for placing items such as drinks or as a secondary perch platform for use by smaller children in particular.
