The Project

Cardiff and Vale College received a £20m grant from the Welsh government to transform the delivery of education and further training courses across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. The new city centre campus sees a distinctive wedge shape building designed with a high focus on sustainability.

Project Solution

Part of our solution included a bespoke Elements Podium platform, manufactured in iroko timber slats with steel supports. The platform created an informal seating space designed to encourage interaction and socialisation amongst students.

Several contemporary seats and benches were also provided, including four Elements seats with iroko timber slats, galvanized steel frames and supports, along with four Fortis wall-top seats in a standard grey mix with an acid etched finish to complement the modern space.
