The Project

Located in the regenerated area of Grahame Park in North West London, the new 10 storey Colindale Offices comprises 90,000 sq ft of space to accommodate relocated London Borough of Barnet staff and also community facilities including social services, a business innovation hub, a café and a public conference suite.

In order to balance the constrained nature of the site, the building combines two simple geometric elements: a triangle-shaped four-storey block maximising the footprint of the site and taking into account the lower-rise residential developments surrounding it, and a ten-storey tower that provides the majority of office space.

The roof of the four-storey element has been cleverly utilised as an outdoor terrace, which is available for both staff and visitors.
