Ribbon is manufactured from recycled steel and comes in our signature triple process coating to any standard RAL – with Iroko timber slats.
Choose from standard benches with/without backrests, heavier duty steelwork and timbers or two-tier solutions.
Visually light but structurally durable, the standard Ribbon comes in 4 lengths seating between 1 and 4 people and can be fitted with a backrest. We also offer end arms, a single centre arm or with armrest options depending on the length of the seat.
All standard Ribbon seating platforms have a 460mm depth.
Larger than your average bench and with the option for a perch-seat backrest, Ribbon XL offers more seating space on both sides, offering even more seating capacity. The thick cut iroko slats take centre stage on the XL, hiding much of the steel frame in comparison to a standard Ribbon. Weighing between 75kg and 110kg, these seats can also be left freestanding.
All XL Ribbon seating platforms have a 720mm depth.
With its sloped seating platform and high backrest, the Ribbon XL Recliner is the perfect addition to any open space allowing users to sit back and take in surroundings. It comes exclusively as a two-seater with a central armrest and can be left freestanding on bolted down.
Dimensions: Weight: 120kg | Length: 1500mm | Width: 970mm | Height: 1150mm
Product Code: RIX RC4M
The Ribbon multi-seat is a versatile two-directional and two-tier seating solution that works well in most high-footfall outdoor spaces from schools and play areas to pub gardens. Available in either 2 or 3 slat profile options, they can be used as stand-alone units with two seating aspects or back-to-back as a picnic table and bench combo.

Unlike galvanising, our triple process coating offers smooth coverage of complex shapes and better adhesion whilst also offering the flexibility of choosing any standard RAL colour.
Classification: Very Durable
Source: West Africa
Weathering: 3 months
A West African species that is rich in natural oils with a ‘Very Durable’classification, which is also relatively stable, readily available and is cost effective. Iroko is the timber that we use on the vast majority of our timber surfaced seating products, most often supplied in a smooth planed finish that will typically fade to silver-grey within 12 months.
If supplementary treatments are required to retain the original colouration for longer, the natural oils must be either allowed to dissipate through weathering over 3 months outdoors before application, or be cleansed if treatments are applied at the outset (applying a treatment directly to freshly machined timber tends to result in it sitting on the surface and not penetrating into the grain).
All Ribbon seating can be supplied fully assembled or in flat-pack form for self-assembly on site. they can be freestanding or bolted down.
In public areas we recommend that the steel support frames of the Ribbon range are bolted down to the ground for a permanent installation. To prevent damage to the steelwork or paving during installation, the feet should be left in place until their location has been determined. When the feet are removed the vacated holes can be used for an M10 ground anchor fixing (not supplied)
The profile and weight distribution of Ribbon XL allows them to be safely used as freestanding units, so they can be readily moved around the site when required (recommended for secure sites only).
